Easter Egg Collage Coloring Sheets
By doing this project, your child will basically be creating their own coloring sheet. Your artist may wish to make several of these so that they end up creating their own coloring book to give to friends or younger siblings. To do this, the ink drawings will need to be photocopied before they are colored in.
Items needed:
- 2-3 sheets of white paper - xerox paper works well
- photos or magazine clippings of Easter-themed items, or old greeting cards
- scissors
- glue stick
- pencil
- Black Sharpie (ultra fine tip)
- pens, color pencils, or crayons
Draw a large egg shape on the white paper.
Cut out photos or old greeting cards with designs you like (bunnies, chicks, eggs, flowers, etc...) and glue them inside of your egg shape. |
With a pencil, add any designs to the egg that you want (stripes, dots, zig-zags, hearts, etc...)
Place another white paper over the top, and trace all pictures and patterns onto the new paper, including the egg shape. |
When you think you have it all transferred to the new sheet, begin tracing over all pencil lines with the black sharpie marker. add shading by using cross-hatching where desired.
(Photo-copy your drawing to create your own coloring book for friends. Or shrink the design to fit on cards.) |
Color in your drawing using markers, color pencils, or crayons. Give to friends and family as Easter Gifts. |
